The Isle of Mull is the ideal island to take a
walking holiday, as it has some of the worlds most magnificent scenery,
dramatic sea cliffs, an abundant wildlife and some wild remote places that
are only accessible by foot.
There is a combination of many varied
habitats that the island has to offer, woodland, farmland and coastal.
Forestry Commission Scotland have developed a walking network on the
island that offers walkers shelter amongst tree lined forests. There are
walks along rugged and
gentle coastlines, and for the experienced walker more mountainous terrain,
including the island's only Munro, Ben
More.
The paths on the island are
mostly well walked but not necessarily well way-marked, however, they should
be easily found by the average walker. It needs to be stressed that many
walks on the island are on very basic paths that can be muddy or boulder
strewn and which will, on occasion, require clambering over rocks. Please
