Tobermory Golf Club been established since the thirties and enjoys a dramatic
position to the north of the town. It has mossy fairways, fast, accurate
greens and possibly the best views of any golf course in the world!
The new course at Craignure was opened in 1980. It is flat, tight and
a very fair test of ability.
If fishing is your interest, Mull is a must. Sea fishing, river fishing
- we have them all. Salmon, sea trout, brown trout and rainbow trout abound
in hill lochs and fast flowing rivers. Permits are readily available -
for details ask at your accommodation or call at Tackle and Books in Tobermory.
Take a trip out to sea. Every year dedicated anglers come to Tobermory
to catch monster skate, sharks, tope and turbot. Eight Scottish and two
British records have already been broken off Mull. Casual anglers are
not forgotten - the Tobermory charter boats run special trips for families
with tackle and bait provided.
Stalking is a major sporting activity on Mull and can be organised by
many hotels given sufficient notice.
Hiking and hill-walking must rate amongst the best in the country. You
need warm clothes, stout shoes, a stout heart, a good map and compass
- we will arrange for the hot bath on your return! Guided walking tours
are available with
Mull Magic. The Isle of Mull Rally is a big
attraction and this year occurs over the weekend of 15th/16th/17th October;

Please note that a number of roads are closed for the Rally, and that
accommodation can be in short supply, so if you want to see come to Mull

to which visitors are warmly welcomed. At least one of the Holiday Mull
hotels has private clay pigeon launching facilities for guests.
