I Know Where I'm Going (1945 B/W) directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. 
Wendy Hiller plays a determined girl who travels to the Hebrides to get married and ends up marrying someone else (Roger Livesey) after being stranded on Mull. The film includes scenes shot at Carsaig and at the Western Isles Hotel, Tobermory. 

When Eight Bells Toll (1971 Colour) directed by Elliott Kastner
From the novel by Alistair MacLean. A naval secret service agent investigates the pirating of gold bullion ships off the Scottish coast. With Anthony Hopkins, Robert Morley, Corin Redgrave, Jack Hawkins.

A CIA agent is used as a pawn in an insane woman's plan to steal a Polaris submarine.

The Eye of the Needle (1981 Colour) directed by Stephen Friedman
In 1940 a German agent (Donald Sutherland) murders his landlady but is eventually cornered by a girl (Kate Nelligan) on a Scottish island. Outdoor scenes were filmed at Treshnish in north-west Mull.
