The house where Spencer, the painter lives. Spencer is the painter in the story and he is responsible for painting all the houses bright colours.  This is a private house and is situated opposite to Gus Stewart's Gallery on Breadalbane Street. Click on the image to enlarge  Number 1 on the map

The house where Miss Hoolie the Nursery School teacher lives in the story.  The house In real life it is the home of Hughina and Blair Spence.  The house is called Beul-an-Atha and is situated in Upper Tobermory on the junction of West Street and Breadalbane Street.  The house is run as a B&B.  Click here to view their web-page  Click on the image to enlarge  Number 2 on the map

This is the shop where Penny Pocket and Suzie Sweet have their Sweet Shop.  Odd items, and numeracy are the subjects that they deal with.  The Shop is actually the booking office for Mull's own theatre company.  It is situated at the end of the main street, just past the Mishnish Hotel.  It was the Mishnish that originally set off the Tobermory trend of painting houses on the Main Street with bright colours.  To go to the Theatre web site click here  Click on the image to enlarge  Number 3 on the map

This is the White House where P.C. Plum lives in the story.  PC Plum is the large, friendly policeman in the story, and knows all about wildlife and nature on the island.  Both Spencer and PC Plum can be seen riding around the town on their Bikes.  This house is a private house and is situated on the left hand side of Victoria Street, towards the top. This is the home of Josie Jump.  Josie is the character in the story that is interested in Physical activity, hence the name.  The very yellow house above is, infact, Harbour Heights Hotel, and is situated in Upper Tobermory behind the very famous Western Isles Hotel.  To view the website for Harbour Heights Hotel, Click here.  Click on the image to enlarge  Number 5 on the map
This is the house of Edie McCredie, in the story.  Edie lives on the Main Street near the bus station and her bus, "Daisy" is often parked outside the Post Office.  You can find the Post Office on the map. Click on the image to enlarge  Number 6 on the map

This is the Tobermory Fire Station.  The Fire Station is situated on Breadalbane Street in Upper Tobermory.  The Station is manned on a part time basis, but can be pretty active when all the coal and peat fires are lit in the cottages in Tobermory.  Click on the image to enlarge  Number 7 on the map
