For over 50 years MH&AS has worked to keep the history of Mull, Iona and its islands alive for both members and visitors. Since 2009 we have been deeply involved in the stabilisation of Moy Castle, kept a watching brief on the MacQuarie Mausoleum at Gruline and rebuilt our website. Currently we are creating a new archive for Duart Castle as well as hosting the annual Catherine MacKichan Trust lecture – a popular event for both members and visitors.
Our members are spread far and wide and are often the descendants of people who left Mull many years ago. To join MH&AS you can simply visit our web site where you will also find lots of information about the social history and the archaeology of Mull and a timetable of events updated throughout the year.
